Bob Roberts
Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon Bite The Hands That Feed Us Bull

Like most politicians, Bob Roberts is a figment of our imagination. He’s got the look, the moves, even the melodies… so we love him even when the reality is obviously missing. But if we never question, then we never need to look behind the facade… we can simply believe.
We want to believe.
BOB ROBERTS is a movie, but it is also our reality. How many political candidates are packaged and sold like soda pop? How many “citizens” exercise their right to ignorantly waltz into the polling place and vote the conscience of their peer group? Can YOU be sold? Are you sold? Or do you actually do the research? In fact, what tiny percentage of America does the research to decide logically on the approximately 15 – 40 candidates and issues on each ballet?
Don’t misunderstand our point: BOB ROBERTS is a funny movie, which provides more than two hours of laughs and entertainment. But it also tells us something. Something important.
Watch the characters in and around BOB ROBERTS. How is image crafted? How willing are we (the public) to buy into personalities sold via top-notch media? How clever are the puppet-masters? This is only a movie, right?
Laugh now, funny boy, but BOB ROBERTS is the future… and the future is here.
